foundation fair+olive+yellow

Post by plaurik » Thu Sep 04, 2008 5:51 pm

Hi!

I'm totally beginner with minerals and could use your help. I'v orderd few samples from mad minerals, but now i discovered this store and i'd be really interested in purchaseing many things, but can't decide about foundation.

I have fair complexion with olive and yellow undertones. Not rosy at all. I'm european, but i think my skin is a bit asian-color.... :? well, maybe not quite.

I tried this one:

and it looks quite perfect, especially in summer, but in winter it could be just a bit fairer.
maybe something more like that...

or something between them.

What would you suggest? Would buttery gold be the one or warm gold... or should i mix ...

Thank you for your replies!

I am guessing Buttery, but it would not hurt to sample both Buttery and Warm.

You will also be able to adjust the color depth to any level you need as well as adjust it further when you need to go lighter or darker. I am not that familiar with that company, but I am thinking you will be in the 1 scoop color to 8-11 Ivory depending on the finish you choose. The heavier the foundation, the more color is required to achieve the correct depth.

i use a mix of buttery and warm slightly heavier on the buttery. you can see my skintone in the avatar on the right. i think my mix is 10/1/.5 -base/buttery/warm. I have yellow undertones and peachy overtones which technically makes me a neutral but neutrals go dull on me. I often find my matches in other companies have a little beige or a little olive but always heavy on the "warm"
