Modern Poet

Post by hotmama » Thu Sep 04, 2008 12:45 pm

Can anyone tell me if Modern Poet gloss is anything similar in color to the Divine lippie? Divine washed me out completely and I had to return it. I dont want to go through the same with the Modern Poet gloss...it just looks so pretty.
Thanks

(Runs to the bathroom to put on Modern Poet....)
Well, I have to say I am also one that has a hard time wearing Divine. I think my lips are too pigmented. Modern Poet on me looks like a glossy nude shimmer. My own lip color totally shows through, but with the added shimmer. The Demigloss Divine is much more opaque, but the Modern Poet is sheer.

Thanks Jen! Sounds like it may be one that I need to pass on....thanks. I can wear Divine just fine but my lips have a funny pigment. Its really dark around the edges and light in the very center, very strange...my grammy (grandma) was talking to me a couple of weeks ago and just blurted out, "I hate your lipstick, you should not ever wear that again!"...well the problem is I had no lipstick on :( :( :( She said my lips are too dark. Skinny Dip is a really good match to my natural lip color, so you know I am loving Iced Mohca!!! So I have to make sure I have enough coverage to "blend" my spotted lips!!!
