Open House

Post by Xarata » Thu Oct 22, 2009 1:42 am

I got all excited when i saw an open house memo and was like- i think i'd like to go and then...and then... i realized it's in 2 days and i have to work at night (it's like a 3-4 hour drive). More warning next time please! lol

Anytime any of you are in the neighborhood just let me know, and we'll roll out the red carpet. You're always welcome at the shop. It is a bit of a late notice- I got so busy reorganizing everything for the party that I forgot to actually mention that we were having one. This time of year is so cold and grey that it's probably better to make the trip during the spring...either that or I can meet you in Scranton the next time we go to NYC (within the next few weeks). Ghost...I kept hoping you'd hop a cheap Easyjet flight and meet up with us in Marseilles...they're really super inexpensive if you can get to Gatwick.

I'm thinking we'll do another one in the Spring sometime. This area is absolutely beautiful, and there's all sorts of cool things that happen in the summer around the Watkins Glen area (if you like car racing we have a BIG racetrack- Nascar, Formula 1, the vintage weekend is my favorite etc), we have some of the prettiest hiking trails I've ever been on, big lakes, lots of wineries, the Corning Glass Museum is super cool, and we're close to Cornell- but then from Columbus Day to Labor Day it's just sort of cold, grey, and boring. We've already had snow this year...

If it works out as possible, could you take photos and maybe do a blog about it. Plus it'd be great to "meet" Susan and Jamie in photos, too. (send them hugs).

I was wondering how it went too. It must have been fun, apparently they are still recovering and haven't been able to post yet?! ;)

Hehe I can just imagine being all mineralled out in glittery shimmery loveliness and needing a little lie down in a cold, dark room to recover afterwards! A $30 parcel has me happy all day - imagine what getting let loose in Mineralia HQ would be like?!

I wasn't able to make it to this last one.......I think Mikie and I were the only ones that took pics last time. Hopefully, there will be some.......if not, a detailed description would be great!
