A new fur baby!

Post by karen » Sat Jun 06, 2009 11:52 am

We got a puppy! We've always lived in places where we couldn't have a pet...but now that we have the house it felt like time to get some sort of fur baby!
She's an 8-week old Boston Terrier, and the sweetest, smartest little girl in the world! She came with the name Jazzy, but I've taken to calling her Bitsy because she's just so tiny! DH wasn't so sure about getting a dog, but after meeting her for about 10 seconds he started taking pictures, and I knew he was in love. It didn't hurt that the whole way home she just kept looking at him with her puppy dog eyes.

We really need to work on her housetraining...I haven't gotten used to what she looks like when she needs to "go" but otherwise she's very smart, and very sweet. The picture is nearly actual size!

Boston Terriers are soooo smart, i'm sure she'll be potty-trained in no time. She's a cutie. We had a friend who brought his boston camping with him, she went wherever he went- even the showers! lol

Oh my God what a sweet baby! Congratulations! She reminds me of our Lucy, Lucy was a black cocker spaniel, a new-born puppy! She was so adorable! My dad had brought her from China, and when we went to pick them up at the airport, shy Lucy was hiding her face with her floffy ears, and peeped through cautiosly to see us, she was staring at us in such a sweet way that our hearts melted and we were all so in love with her, even my mum who was never a pet person! Lucy would always follow my dad, and as she wasn't allowed to sleep next to his bed, she waited till my parenst fell asleep and then secretly she came and installed herself beneath my dad's bedside! I will never forget those implying baby eyes! Last night I dreamt of baby kittens, I am more a cat person, I wish taht some day we can have two baby kittens!

Oh, she's adorable! Good luck with the training! We adopted our pug, Leo, 2 years ago, and I can't imagine my life without him. Have fun with your baby :)

Good heavens, Karen, are you sure she's not part rabbit? What a sweet little face. No wonder your husband crumbled so easily. Good luck with your new baby. The potty training is a two-way deal - you both need to learn when it's time for her to go outside! (Oxyclean does a great job cleaning up and deodorizing potty accidents, by the way.)
