These photos are of one draw sectioned off again by cardboard with two sections for blushers, on section for sample of blushes and glows and the last fro foundation and finishing powders.

next is a photo of my make up brushes and mascara. I brought a pen & pencil holder (from WHSmiths) for my brushes and and cup I got on holiday one year for my mascara's.

The last is my second drsw for eyeshadows again grouped together by colour.

Last but by no means least my last draw for eyeshadows, but this draw is for all the kits. I have them all except 3 - the shimmering nude palette, classic smokey eye quad and the elegant brown quad. Don't worry all on my wish list lol. At present count I have 103 shades of SN eyeshadows with more on the way LOL - with any luck by Royal Mail (more like a miracle) they might arrive wednesday :D

Very nice! I'm doing the magnetic thing. I got 4 boards made of some kind of lightweight metal, each about 10" by 12". I bought some of the peel-off round magnets for eyeshadows, creme liners and other smaller jars. All of the collections are grouped together on one tray, then the indivdiual colors are separated into greens, blues, purples, alphabetically within those groups on a second tray. The two trays fit side by side in my top dresser drawer. The third tray holds all of my neutrals, and the fourth holds my lippies. To keep them from rolling around, I put a long strip of the "hook" part of the velcro down each side of the tray. I then bought some round velcro peel-off "dots", about 1/2" diameter, and put the loop part around the center of the lippie so the name is still visible. Then I just lay them down along the long strip. The neurtrals and lippies are in drawer #2/ Since all my trays are flat, I don't worry about anything jumping off and disappearing. The only problem I've had (and it's not a big issue at all), is that if I have the lippie in my pocket with the cell phone, sometimes a little adhesive goo gets on my phone. No big deal - comes right off.
The larger items I keep similarly to yours in a basket on the dresser top. All the brushes are standing up in a vase, except the buki which has it's own little container. Mascaras, eyebrow pencils, et. all. go into another vase. Large containers (foundation, Blur, Date Bait, etc.) are in the basket in a small tray.
This has been working pretty well for over a month. When I traveled last week, I just took the items I wanted and threw them in one of the organza bags that Karen has so thoughtfully provided, along with her travel brush kit. I'm also slowly giving away most of my non-SN stuff. Easy to do when you work at a junior high!!! Lauren

As you all know, I moved at the end of May/beginning of April and once again, my stash storage had to adapt! It also grew interrim... Without further ado, a new pic of my dirty little secret...
top shelf- lesser used shadows and lippies
second shelf- brushes and foundation on the left, blushes on board #1, SN shadows on blue boards with DM shadows along the bottom, lippies lined up on shelf
third shelf-skincare galore!!! I promise it's organized a certain way but will not delve into it. Plumpers, bath, and fragrance down here too
fourth shelf-first aid, nailpolish, and haircare
floor space- random storage
closet door- foundation, concealer, and finisher board

Thats some serious makeup!! I'm just using a box I got with a perfume set for all my every day type stuff, then random makeup bags with going out stuff, and barely use stuff (I have to tup everything out onto the floor when I get ready, I need to come up with something better lol)... but my little box keeps getting scruffy inside with all my powder explosions. I've found the packng paper we get with our orsers is perfect for lining it with, it looks pretty and I can change it every week or so I don't get that annoying dust cloud over everything.

Ooo I never thought to look in Wilkos! I'm moving house in July so I'll be doing lots of Ikea-ing, if there's nothing doing anywhere else I'm sure they'll have something nifty :)
