Jen, you look awesome! Now I'm wondering if I should try olive too! I've got the same coloring like you; dark brown hair and eyes and I tan real easy. But in the winter I'm pretty fair. Olive is going to be in my next order!

I am pretty sure you are cool toned, right? I have a really weird undertone. I thought I was cool toned for years. The pink I have in my complexion is usually irritation from having sensitive skin, and for so many years I matched my foundation to that slight redness  . I generally do better with slightly warm colored foundation, but there is definitely Olive there, too. I usually tan in one day where most cools burn first. I still have very fair skin in the winter, but the sun turns me into a medium tone. It is weird because I can still pull off most cool shades, especially in the winter. I almost need my winter makeup and my summer makeup.
For years, I thought I was pink, and matched everything to it. A couple of years ago I noticed that I have slight yellowness, especially when checking the skin on my arm compared to my BF's, who is pink :)
When I first started SN, I tried straight ebony, but I noticed that it looks nicer if I add a bit of buttery gold. Still overwhelmingly ebony, but that pinch of gold makes a difference. I usually burn if I'm not careful, but that ends up turning into a slight olive tan over the time. I have been paranoid about the sun for the past year or so, so right now I'm not tanning at all. My original hair color is some sort of brown, and I have dark blue eyes.

I guess it doesn't hurt to try new stuff, I'll get a sample of the olive in my next order :)

Egerandi,

you have dark blue eyes, how awesome. You must put up a pic of a close-up of your eyes. I Love dark blue eyes, they are so rare, so nice with black hair!
You are lucky!

Jen,

here are the pics so that you will be able to determine what colors would be good for me.

In the first I wear no make-up. Many blemishes, uneven skin, very dark eye circles.

In the second i wear fondation, 1 and a half olive and 6 ivory. As you can see my chest and ears are lighter. Also maybe some other color (pink, yellow, peach?),than green lacking?
Please give your opinion.

In the third, on the left eye wearing Sandy, on the right one Nekkid. Sandy is too light on me I believe. Nekkid is good, natural. Same color range as my own skin, but I have brown, colored lids and that'swhy it doesn't really show its color, I will try the primer. I love the eyeshadows and would love to purchase quite more. Should be illuminating, not dark, but not too light. I realise I can only do one color washes as my eyes are a bit problematic and nothing else looks good on them.

Thanks a lot, all suggestions are welcome, from everyone!

Jen- you're stunning as always! The purples are really working for you- but with your gorgeous brown eyes, you can really pull off anything!

Shirin- wow- you're drop-dead gorgeous! Absolutely beautiful- I'd kill for cheekbones like yours- and your eyes- and your hair. I do agree that Sandy is too light for a one-color wash for you- a little in the inner corner of your eye, or as a brow highlight might be good though. I'd try a little bit of white in your foundation- and if that didn't work a little bit of yellow or peach. I can't wait to make you a cream blush!

Thank you Karen, you're very kind!
My husband is very happy too about the compliments ;-).
Yes, you're right I shall be using Sandy in the corners of the eye. Will also use the primer, so the gorgeous colors will show up better.
Looking forward to the cream blushes, I think it would probably be a better option for me, I have large pores on my cheeks.

Me too, I thought the fondation is slightly too dark/too olive for my skin, the dark blemishes fool the overall face color.

Looking forward to the new products! Would love to have more metallic/shimmery eyeshadows!

Hello from a newbie SN junkie!
I dont even remember how i stumbled on this lovely brand but i'm staying...for good! Its an addiction and most of you girls know what i'm talking about. I received last week my double order, most of them i havent wear yet and i'm preparing for the next one!Ah...i feel good!So i wanted to share my first FOTD (and hope there will be more!)
Ok the one thing i dont use is foundation (although i have the harmony kit etc i'm too lazy to experiment for the time being lol). Besides with all those great finishing powders most of the times i dont need foundation!
Today i wore Whisper e/s above the Eye fix base (which i also use as a undereye concealer and OMG this product is miraculus!) and on my face a mix of Tempt thryst (just a hint), date bait and the transparent finishing powder. Also the Wish you were here blush but it doesnt show cause it wore off after 8 hours in work! I'm pale in general but i dont look as white in real life. Its the photo flash that has this effect i guess.
I'm experimenting with self tanners for the last two days so you may notice some differences in the neck area hehe. Also i'm wearing my new contact lenses (geo angel colour-brown) so NO those arent my eyes. My real eyes are a plain brown. :)
I usually like my lips naked but SN changed that too!The problem is i like all the lip products so much i cant decide which one to wear!So i take them all in my purse and change colours during the day! lol
Ok enough of my rumbling. Sorry for any mistakes in the language (i'm greek hehe)!I am also open for suggestions in colours, products or routines!
Thank you!
