Here's a picture of Lulu from last summer. She's grown taller and filled out a bit, still cute as heck.

This one is Gabby. She's a Tonkinese (1/2 Siamese, 1/2 Burmese), never stops talking. She was having a stare-off with one of the dogs. I think she won.

Mikie: So glad hubby is coming around, let's face it it is awfully hard to resist an adorable furball. Would have loved to have watched the cats playing hide and go seek, just picturing it in my mind makes me smile.

Icash: I'll take the donkey, unfortunately I think that they would make move and fine me heavily since I live in town, but if I lived in the country I would be finding me my own Lulu.
Your cat is so pretty, and yup I bet she won the staredown, she doesn't look like anyone could bet her in a staredown. I too have a very vocal cat among my 3 furbabys. I swear not nly does he like to make his needs known, but both my husband and I think that he "talks" just to hear himself . At anyrate he broadcasts the kennel "news" from the minute we get up until we go to bed. My ex- husband used to swear that Smokey would sit by the door and cry for me if I wasn't home, my thought is that he just wanted to talk.

How *precious* Lulu & Gabby are!!! LOVE the pics! Good job! :D

Abie & Lil Bits have been *playing* this morning! PLAYING!!! :D No hissing or growling! It was SO darned cute to see! Lil Bits has been on the sunporch, as you know, & he's got free run, of course. The cat carrier just houses his own litterpan, lol. Abie has been racing me to the door, trying to get in there to (???) his new little brother. *Usually* I've been successful getting out there solo but Abie is *fast* & determined! The couple times he beat me, he made a beeline for Bitsy & the 2 of them were nose to nose with no sign of aggression or fear...until I scooped Abie up & put him back inside the LR...then Bitsy would *fly* as soon as I made my scoop-up of Abie.

This morning Abie was WAY too fast for me, & this morning I decided to see how they would interract ~ they PLAYED!!! :D Tussling & running & just playing. Bless his heart, Abie seems to be aware that Bitsy needs a friend & is little ~ & Bitsy's not afraid of him! I think they will be GRAND friends! Cannot begin to tell you how thrilled i am!

One VERY relieved gal, mikie

That's great news, Mikie. It's always a little dicey bringing a new cat in (though it's easier with kittens). One of those endeavors a few years ago resulted in literal "p--sing contests" all over my house. We finally had to move one of the cats out to an "only cat" household, where he now terrorizes their two dogs. Please continue to post pictures as Lil Bits becomes Bigger Bits. He's going to be a very handsome guy! Lauren

Lcash, What a cute couple of fur babies!

Mikie, It’s great that they are getting along from the start. We had several interesting weeks when we brought the kittens home last October, never thought the older cat would accept them and it was all made worse because our puppy “adopted” the kittens. She took on the role of their mommy and more than once we thought she would kill the older cat trying to protect them when he was mean to them.

I was REALLY afraid of p'ing contests, too! I'd warned Lil Bits before he ever came home with me that IF he did, he'd HAVE TO let Abie be the boss,LOL. And do you know what that smart little sucker did? As *soon* as he spied Abie through the window watching him, he rolled right onto his back. He gave Abie the *classic* sign of submission for cats! SMART little rascal won Abie right over immediately!

Had NO intention of introducing them yet...NO intention. Slow & easy is my plan. Those 2 had other ideas, though, & I'm just tickled their 1st meeting was fun for them. Michael says Abie's just sizing him up so he can beat the crap outta him, ROFL!!! If those 2 continue to get along & to play, NO WAY would Michael kick up a fuss. He'd never deny his son anything, hehe.

You'd be *amazed* all the people from work seeking me out to see how Lil Bits is doing. That baby was & IS loved!

I mus say I am so happy to see this. When I heard there were many cat lovers here I raced to check out these posts and read all of them! the stories are just heartwarming ...Awwwwwww.

Reminds me of when I adopted a stray that hung around my house (she had had 2 kittens in my backyard) 4 years ago. The last thing I wanted at that particular time in my life (I had just been off work from having 2 surgeries) was a cat family, the kittens ended up disappearing and I couldn't resist mom so she quickly became mine. I have had her 6 years now and she has provided me with much love and entertainment.

Congrats Mikie, I hope all continues to go well!
