The Perfect Pink Blush

Post by Rhys » Tue Mar 11, 2008 3:17 pm

Still looking for that one - hmm - I'm thinking one that matches Damsel, only lighter. Pale pink, but definitely pink, with a hint of raspberry or mauve to it? Maybe a bit like MAC's Dame, but toned down a notch or two in shade.

Anyone else?

I've still yet to find the right blush too. MAC's Dame is my very first pink blush. Maybe something along that line with a little of shimmer? Cos oft times I find that Dame can be quite dull on the face. I'm NC30 btw. :)

I'd love the perfect Pink blush too :) . I haven't tried MAC Dame, but I've heard good things about it. I'd love a couple of new SN pink blushes (you can never have too many pink blushes! ) , maybe a bright cool Raspberry Pink and/or a light Violet Pink.

I'd like a light raspberry pink too - and a violet pink. And just about most cool-toned pinks. Don't like the ones with brown undertones (for me), but I LOVE cool pink blushes :)

And the occasional pinky-gold blush, too. What I wear most often is Flirt, though - go figure. But it makes a nice pink flush on my skin.

I have a few favourites for blushers: Cheeky, Strawberry & Champagne for day and Wish You Were Here for evening! Goes very well with my Asian skin. I was using MAC NC20.

I also love Whisper ES with either Tutti Fruitti, Petunia, Hint combi and Gold blush lip gloss. Gives a very natural look.

Thanks for the suggestion of "Flirt", Rhys, I'll have to try it.

Speaking of pink blushes, I've heard wonderful things about the new MAC Beauty Powder Blush "Sweetness" (it's an intense blue pink with shimmer). Apparently on the skin it gives a subtle, fresh, "just in from the cold" look and the shimmer isn't really obvious once on (which is good cause I have oily skin and don't like heavy shimmer). Has anyone here tried it? It's a limited edition so I'm thinking of breaking my "will only buy mineral face makeup" pact and just getting it anyway. I'd love if Karen could manage to clone it though (then I wouldn't have to break my pact  ) ....

I hate that almost *everything* MAC is LE. But hopefully we can work around it - and I don't think you'll be disappointed by Flirt. Top it off with a bit of Cupid? (is it Cupid? the pale pink glow powder) or Whisper e/s for a little more radiance :)

My husband just happened to be passing through Syracuse yesterday, so I had him stop at the MAC counter there...
Dame is gorgeous- I'll try to do that color- some dupes are easy, some are hard- I can't promise anything. Sweetie on the other hand is very similar to BB's Pink Raspberry- it's pretty, but so close that I'm going to leave it off the list- it's kind of redundant. I've found a lot of overlap between MAC and BB- particularly with the lippies.
