applying blush

Post by dmkuk » Tue Nov 16, 2010 4:01 pm

Hi all

Have been a lurker on these boards for awhile and sampling the foundations and skincare (prev using BE but not happy with the colour/coverage).
I am just after some advice in applying blusher (esp minerals, loose blusher). i have been using an Estee lauder pressed blusher compact, so am unsure how to apply the minerals. What is the best brush to use? On the SN site there are two listed. Also how do you apply the blusher to your cheeks? (i know these are silly questions)i tend to smile and try to apply to the 'apples' of my cheeks in an upward motion.

I hope someone can advise or point me in the right direction.

Thanks

I find loose blushes tend to be a bit more pigmented so I use the fibre optic brush (the little one!)

I tap a tiiiiny bit into the lid, dab the brush in a couple of times gently then tap off the excess on the side of the lid then smile and swirl on the apples of my cheeks. If I'm contouring I suck in my cheeks and bronze the hollow then highlight the sticky out bit then blush the apple and use the residual blush to do between the light/dark

Definitely get the fiber optic brush. I just know after all this time where to put my blush so I don't really think about it. Just order the brush and some pretty blush samples. Let us know what colors you like and we can give some recommendations. Today I am wearing wish you were here which is really pretty.
