Foundation Shade Help/Curiosity...

I always have the hardest time deciding what my skintone is...no one else seems to know for sure, either. I've been told several times that I'm a really pale olive, which is why I'm really excited to be able to mix my own foundation - most olive foundation is too dark on me
My other problem is that my face is slightly darker/pinker than my neck, so I tend to try to match my face to my neck, if I can find a pale enough shade
Anyway, I just thought I'd ask everyone's opinion on what they thought my skintone was, and what foundation base would look best on me

Hello smiles4c!
I don't think you will have a problem getting your foundation light enough, here. I am thinking you are a fair Olive. I don't see any yellow or golden, and since you are trying to minimize the pinkness, Olive will be the way to go. Don't be surprised if you are a 1 scoop color to 15 or more scoops of Ivory. I am a 1:15 Olive/Original Ivory and I think I am at least one shade darker than you. I agree that pale Olive foundations have been hard to find, and if you did find one, it was either too pale or too yellow.

This doesn't help at all, but you look like a really pretty Molly Ringwald. Do you get that a lot at all?

LOL actually yes! I haven't heard it much lately, but I got it *all* the time when my hair was red
