Hello! I've been wanting to try SN for just about forever, and I've finally used up my old brand, and am ready to sample...but I don't have a clue what color to order

I *think* I'd be a warm gold, but not really sure....
Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Hi new2pgh,
I think you will love SN just like me, great formulations§ I am no expert, you should wait for Karen or Jen to advice you, but I think you are definitely a warm undertone, and that maybe you are more buttery maybe with some warm gold, wouldn't think you are an olive (I am olive and my skin looks more pigmented and with no pink at all compared to yours). Or mayby you are a bit peachy too?
Waiting to see what the experts say, practising my make-up skills, especially in identifying colors.
But are you wearing make-up on the pic? Would halp to post a pic with no make-up where one can see your eyes and your neck as well. Just a tip.
Hope you'll find your color soon, it is pretty easy to find one's color by mixing once one knows the undertone!

Hmm thanks for the ideas on color. Yes, I have makeup in that picture. Let me go find one without makeup (cringe!).
This is MUCH more tan than I usually am, but the only makeup-free picture I can find

Hi and Welcome!
In looking at the pics I really think Warm Gold. Probably in the 1 scoop color to 5-7 Ivory. Your skin is lovely and I really recommend our Original or Medium Coverage. If you are normally tricky to match, you also might want to try the Buttery Gold and Ebony color samples.
I am sorry that it took so long for me to get to this. My kids are on break so my regular schedule is out the window!
Let us know if you need help when your kit arrives.

Thank you Jen! I don't find myself too terribly hard to match - usually a makeup artist can look at my skin and reach for their most common shades, lol. I was thinking I'd start out with the original coverage formula - can you tell me what kind of finish to expect (matte, dewy, etc)? Also, My skin is generally even toned, but occasionally breaks out. Will I be able to build up the original coverage to hide a breakout or should I grab a concealer sampple too?

Several of the gals mix up a concealer with an Ivory sample that is one step heavier in coverage. It also pays to mix it so that it is a tad lighter than your foundation.
The finish on the Original alone is not matte. Probably closer to a few steps up from matte in the matte to glowy range. When I want more of a dewey look, I usually use one of our Perfecting Glows as a finisher. I like having control over the level of glow. I know some mix Perfecting Powders into their foundation, and some use our new glow base to add a little sheen. It really is customizable to whatever you chose.

I'm here to report back - you were dead on! Right now I'm 6:1 WG. I may add a touch more WG to the mix as I get some spring/summer sun, but mixing took me less than 5 minutes total
Oh, and I ordered on a Tuesday afternoon, received a shipping notification on Wednesday, and had the order in my hands by Thursday. I was amazed!
