omg...........

i had resolute to grab a full size of Tart Bright, Love Lure and Powder Primer once its up on the site, and run far far away from the SN webbie to prevent myself from overbuying due to the new beautiful webbie...

but now the swatch is attracting me to buy babydoll and lovelace!

doesnt help that my mac mini that i use at the studio is calibrated nicely, making all the colors looking delicious and calling my name (0.o)

T_T

i have the urge to buy full size for all three and stop buying blushes =X

btw, i just ordered 30 gram of liquid powder foundation and quite a few other items' fullsize elsewhere, so i m quite done with my pay cheque =P

omg omg how!

lovelace looks uber sweet on the swatch, but i just don't look good in orange shades =S

somehow the Lure ermm what's that.. i think is Lure's True blush, and SN wish you were here somehow made me look hmmmm.. jaundice.. *Note: if you're considering these colors i've mentioned, ignore my description, i'm in a warp state of mind now*

*yawn* i'm supposed to go watch movie now, with my bf and bro, but.... the new SN site is up..... i can't wait to order! had been stalking the webbie every few hours for the pass few days.... argh.

hope i can decide by the time i reach home =_=

babes, any recommendations? mikie and jenw, i read the post that you two are really wonderful at selecting colors, if you're reading this, any opinions to save me from bankruptcy?

=P

Sorry I did not get back to you sooner on these! I think you will definitely like the ones you chose! Also, they are not going away anytime soon. You can get the others later, and there a more goodies coming out over the next few weeks.

Enjoy!

Ok, I'ml checking out the new sight and Lovelace is calling my name, now this may sound like a dumb question, but I don't usually wear anything that is too cool toned very well, so what else has warm undertones to it? Thanks, Hollis

Hollis,
I found Vixen to be on the warm side. It is a brick red. It sure doesn't take much. Also, I was amazed at Pretty Plum. I think that one is pretty neutral. It is a warm matte plum IMO, at least a little warmer than what you would normally see in that shade. Also, Forbidden is very universal, but still pretty pink. I know you and I tend to pick Breathless as our pink lippie, and Forbidden worked for me. Again, it is a very pigmented one and maybe leans a little more pink than you want to go. I have gone to using my swirly bowl for blush just to keep the amount in check. I am still practicing with the fiber optic brush. I always need time to learn a new tool. Anyway, I hope this helps you.

Love the FO brush! It is almost a necessity for us who fall into the light to pale category with the new pigmented blushes!

Here it is next to the Flat Top and the Baby Buki Karen sells. I like it because the bristles are quite a bit shorter than another FO I have tried. I found it much easier to control, and not floppy at all. (I have the FO brush that is no longer sold by EM for your reference.) I used my old one once or twice and gave up.

Here is a pic comparison of those two. The one sold at SN has Tart Light on it.

thanks for posting a pic of the new FO, it looks all squished short on the site i thought it looked totally different. It's a Long Handle FO Baby Buki like the one i love but with a handle! and much cheaper than the only place i can find my baby buki anymore (about the same as what i paid for mine but less than half of what i'd have to pay for a new one at EBS). Good pick Karen!!!

Jen,
Thanks for your help. I had already placed a sample of Forbidden in my cart, and will have to consider both VIxen and Pretty Plum. I think that Vixen may be the perfect fall blush for me. I had already placed the FO brush in my cart, and am glad to know that it is much better than the EDM one, I have that one also and I agree that it is to floppy and thus very difficult to use.

My coloring isn't as fair as yours, but I don't do pinks well, they tend to really stand out on me rather than just looking like a nice flush of color, it is like they clash with the rest of my skintones, rather than enhance, and it doesn't seem to matter how light they are. So much for the comments that pink is a universal color, if it is , then I haven't been able to find the right shade of pink, oddly enough I can wear some pink in clothing however.

Hollis,
I would call Forbidden in the 'strawberry pinkish red' category. There might be enough red there to work for you. (To me Strawberry is a pink that leans a bit peach.) I am just so thankful we can get samples! I so appreciate being able to try it out before committing to a full size. I have to admit I really had my doubts about Tart Light for myself, but was pleasantly surprised. Hopefully you will feel the same about Forbidden.
