Discontinued blush - Rich

Hi,

I ordered a bunch of blush samples a while ago and must say that SN blushes are far superior to any other brand of mineral cosmetics I have used before in every way but especially for the colours staying true & the lovely texture :D .

I have only just got to the stage where, after trying them out for a while, I am now sure which ones I want to order as full sizes. Typically, 2 of my favourites have now been discontinued!!! Foxxy, and Rich

I have Bronze Beauty and although it is similar in depth of colour, it is not quite as pink as Foxxy was but I think I can cope (comes out similar if you mix a dash of Cherub wih Bronze Beauty); Rich however is a completely different situation!!! I have never come across another colour like this before in any mineral make up range and am not really sure what I'm going to do without it as it has become one of my absolute go-to's (along with Charming for perkier pinker feeling days & Carnal for something more dramatic).

I know that it is no longer on the website but I really just wanted to ask if the remaining pots of Rich have been sold, of if they have gone somewhere (in to storage? to a cosmetic outlet store? for sale on ebay or similar?) to see if there is anyway I can get hold of one? Or if someone can recommend a colour I may have passed over which might serve as a worthy replacement?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Tracey xx

Hi Tracey:

Karen had posted somewhere; maybe on the blog or in answer to a similar question on items that are not on the website that the recipes are NOT destroyed or burned. With all the new products being released Karen needs to make more shelf space; so some items are off the website. I don't know when they will be back. I have some favorite lippies also that have disappeared for now.

I have all the peachy/coral blushes. (I think I have samples of all the original release except for a couple such as Vino.) I have Rich, Sassy and Wish You Were Here and all are nice peachy but never orange on me. I like Wish You Were Here the best of those three. WYWH has shimmer and is a peachy coral. I also like and have a full size of Lovelace. Lovelace is more pigmented; more apricot. I suggest trying a sample of WYWT as it is probably the closes to Rich. I see that Sassy is off the site for now also. I remember with Sassy/Rich one had shimmer and one was matt. If you have not tried a sample of Jamie, it is nude/peachy as nice as Bronze Beauty but different.

Have you tried Poppy? It is matt/coral and not as sheer as the original releases blush.

Hope the suggestions help!

Foxxy was my favorite, too. I never did try Rich.

I think that Strawberries'n'Champagne or Wish You Were Here are the most similar to Foxxy.

I took a look at my blushes. I think WYWH is probably closest to Rich. It is peachy coral and has shimmer. Strawberries is cooler and IMO Rich is warm. I took a look at Foxxy and I think Jamie is close. Foxxy is nude/nuetral as is Jamie; but Jamie has some peach tones instead of pinkish.

Anyhow my suggestion is to look at blushes you want to try that you don't already own and get some samples. At $1.25 for samples, you can't go wrong and maybe you will get some new favorites.

Ah, yes, Jamie is close, and those peach tones made a big difference - Jamie looks a lot warmer I think, more golden, when applied. You're right, Strawberries and Champagne is cooler. Similar but cooler.

Aw, thanks girls for all the suggestions!

Completely agree that at $1.25 a pop the blush samples are fantastic value! I have a load already but no way near all of them (a bit like Pokemon, I wanna catch 'em all!!!!!!! ). I have got a sample of Jamie & although it's a lovely colour it's just a bit too nude for me (I absolutely ***LOVE*** a nude lip so I'm in luck with the new lippies :), but usually prefer something with a bit more 'clout' applied very lightly on my cheeks).

Strawberries & Champagne has also vanished unfortunately (liked the way that one sounded when you described it by the way!!!) but will certainly try WYWH as a substitute for Rich - think that looks the most similar. Lovelace looks like a good call too with similar apricot tones so will be adding that to my next order as well.

Thanks again :D

I have to second the recommendation for Poppy, too along with WYWH and Lovelace. It is like Sassy but much more pigmented.
