CATnapping a success! :-)

Little Bits (aka Lil Bits aka Bitsy) is now SAFELY esconced on the sunporch, YAY! It wasn't easy, LOL!!!
Yesterday morning I had *determined* that he was NOT going to spend ONE MORE weekend in that drug-haven-building
where he was terrified & in danger at all times. I took a dose of Frontline to work with me ~ AND took the smaller of our cat carriers to (hopefully) catnap him. He *did* let me get the dose of Frontline on him so I knew that within 24 hrs his flea problem would be gone. He ate & was very happy yesterday but got *terrified* by the cat carrier...between that & the continual rain outdoors, my attempts were unsuccessful.
This morning I went down, & after eating a bit of his canned food & petting him a bit, I put the food inside the carrier just inside the door. After a bit, the food drew him in & I continued to talk to him...then pushed the food further back. When he took the bait, I waited & then shut the door. Now he's in our larger cat carrier w/food & water & a "litterpan" (disposable loafpan, lol) & a towel that I hugged for awhile to get my scent on it. He's alone out there with QVC on softly for white noise/voices. Poor baby is likely all discombobulated without pushers & such running/stomping/partying overhead. Appt made for Monday with our vet.
Hubby's NOT the happiest camper, sigh. Our younger cat (Abie, rescued by HIM 3 yrs ago) *KNOWS* there's a cat on the sunporch & has been peeking through the panes in the inside door...checking out his cat carrier.
At *least* I know he's de-flea'd & is SAFE...& will be at the vet's on Monday & can get tested/wormed/shots started. Then, once he learns to *trust* people & is healthy, if I HAVE to give him up, I will be *heartbroken* BUT will know that he's had a good start.
Appreciate good thoughts! And mentally send energy to get my hubby on board, will ya?!
