Medium with yellow undertones

Hi! (: I'm looking for a foundation match.

This is the best pic I can find of my face and my neck. And also this one. I'll take a better pic with natural daylight tomorrow.

Anyway, I'm definitely a medium with yellow undertones. If it helps any, I'm somewhere in between EDM's Winged Butter and Medium Tan. So should I go with Warm or Buttery Gold?

Hi Maya, and Welcome to our Forum.

I am guessing you will be a Buttery gold based upon your matches from EDM. If you are curious, you might want to throw in a sample of the Warm, too. But I am pretty sure you are a Buttery.

Thanks for your reply. (:

Just wondering, if I need to make the color darker, how do I go about that?

The whole process of SN is kind of confusing so I really appreciate any tips. ((:

You definitely won't need to make it darker. You will need some Ivory base, too. I am guessing you will be in the 1 scoop Buttery Base to 2-5 scoops Ivory. The Buttery Base is pretty dark. Also, I give a range for the Ivory because it really depends on which formula you choose. In Heavy Coverage you might be a 1 colored base to 2 or 3 Ivory, and in the Original Base 1:5.

Maybe I did not answer your question. If you get your perfect mix and then get more sun, you can always add more color base to your mix. I know for me, I am a 1:6 or so in the summer and a 1:10 or so in winter. I probably don't do this the most space saving way, but I do keep a few small jars at slightly different levels all the time because my depth can change drastically in one day in the sun. I am an oddball with fair to light, but pigmented skin.

Both your replies were helpful! They really were. (:

So if I were to order the sample, I can get the buttery gold color + heavy coverage ivory starter kit, yes?

Then if I need more, I just buy refills of the color and ivory?

Yes. I am going to repost the information for clarification. Hopefully, it will also help someone else! ;)

For a foundation sample, if you want a jar (10 gram size) and a scoop, please order your choice of finish in the Ivory as a *kit*. PLUS, you will need to order at least one sample of a color base (Ebony, Deep Ebony, Warm Gold, Buttery Gold, or Peach) seperately.

When you go to purchase a full size, if you have a jar and a scoop, you can just order the colored base or Ivory base in your finish choice seperately. This saves money and packaging in the long run, because you only buy what you need. For example, some of us fair gals go through lots of Ivory, but not so much of the colored base.

The full size foundation *kit* includes a larger jar (20 gram), a scoop, and a sample of Perfecting Powder, along with a full size pouch of the Ivory and a full sized pouch of the color base of your choice.
