Hi all,

I was matching foundationcolors on my chestarea, and where i swatched the ebony foundation it started itching and it turned really red and slightly raised. Obviously I'm having some kind of allergic reaction, but how is this possible? I also swatched buttery gold and warm gold on my chest, and those area's are just fine. I'd really like to know what ingredient caused this, how is the ebony foundation different from the others?

Hmmm...that's really strange that one color would do it and not the others. There isn't anything different in the ebony than the others- standard blends of pigments. The only thing I can think of is that maybe you had a tiny scratch, or something that caused the irritation- or that the others will act-up a little later? There's a lot more pigment in the warm gold as opposed to the ebony, so it may be that you're reacting to something in the base. What happens if you swatch white?

Hmmm, that IS strange... There wasn't any white base in the foundation, I swatched pure colorbases... I think I'll do a little experiment tonight, I will swatch all the bases tonight, including the white, and see wat happens. I really hope I'm not allergic to your foundation! I've been having more breakouts lately, but I recently started on tretinoin and thought it was the purging... Well, fingers crossed, I'll keep you updated!
