Hello

I ordered a foundation kit a while back and I am not quite getting it right blending my match. I wear EDM Buttered Tan in both semi-matte and o-glo and find it is the best match for me of all their foundations. I do have some Buff Beige Neutral as well but that makes me looked too washed out. Buttered Tan is ok but sometimes it just doesn't look right and other times it's ok!! I really want to make the move from EDM due to all the recent changes.I like the fact that I can adjust SN to suit my skin and really want to make it work for me.

I used to use BE before EDM but never really found my match and used Medium Beige which was way too orange

I can never really figure out what colour I am?? I tan really easily and go a deep, dark brown with a tan. Without a tan I can go really pale but look a sort of odd pale yellowy colour. I have included 2 pics, one of me with a tan and one where I look a bit paler. The picture in which I am paler (2nd pic) shows how Buttered Tan can look a bit odd on me as the bottom half of my face with the most foundation on looks a bit washed out!! My forehead in this picture is pretty much minus any foundation and is a fairly accuarate picture of my skin. I am normally somewhere between the 2 pictures.

Also I have noticed that SN now do a Glow base for foundation. I quite like the dewy look of EDM o-glo so would it be a good idea for me to add some of this to my mix.

I really would appreciate any advice :D

Excuse the odd faces :!:

what mixes have you tried? Olive is good for the tanner shades...

Did you swatch all the color bases on your skin? You can usually tell from that which base is best for you.

I agree with Xarata....they best way to determine is to swatch each of the bases on your skin. In looking at your photo, my first choice will be Olive. Probably 1 scoop color to 10-12 Ivory. Yes, you can absolutely add a few of those scoops as Glow. I would try a test spot of Glow base alone so you can see the finish. Then you can decide if you want more or less in your foundation. I think Everyday Minerals would be less than half Glow in the Ivory base.

Thanks very much for all the advice :D

I have stayed away from Oilve as all the EDM olive foundations made me look ill but I mixed some of the Olive SN base in to an existing mix today which consisted of Warm Gold and Ivory and it looks better already!! The SN Olive base is a much better olive colour than EDM's. I still don't quite have the perfect match I think with a bit of tweaking with a mixture of Olive and Warm Gold bases I can get it spot on. I prefer the finish of the SN foundation over EDM, it looks more natural and I can't feel that I am wearing it :D
