It sounds like Warm Gold with Yellow Booster might be another way to go...or Olive plus yellow booster. Less Warm Gold might work, too. Also, it is best to judge the color about a half hour after application. The powders need a chance to blend with the oils in your skin before you can be certain the color is not right.Steph wrote:I really wish I could post a photo of myself but i haven't really figured it out yet. I need help with adjusting my concoction. In the medium coverage, I have come up with 1 buttery and 1 warm to 6 white. Something about the color is a little off. My face appears a bit chalky and kind of tinted with a dirty brown color. I am asian so I believe I do have yellow undertones. I am wondering if I should use less warm gold? Buttery gold by itself looks too yellow and I am a medium beige colored. I have also noticed that the foundation has nice coverage but my skin looks really lumpy and dry in some areas with my pores being more defined. I have tried the perfecting powder in Love lure but my skin still looks dry and lumpy around the nose and cheeks. Any skin care products or additional tips would be nice.
As for the dryness and flakiness, you need to be sure your skin is well hydrated and exfoliated. Hydration also helps with the pore size to some degree. Good choices for hydrating serums are usually water based. We have several, but I would need to know more about your skintype before I could really offer good suggestions.
