You look adorable, Sam! I've paired Purr and Fete together, too. Purr is my FAVORITE!!

Wow Sam, you look slammin' today! Cider looks more orange than I expected it to. I have a sample of it, just haven't tried it yet. I think I'll be wearing it tomorrow though!!
Oh, and I think I need to buy Purr...

Great look!!
Adding Shrieking Violet to my cart!! We have similar coloring, but I have brown eyes and I wasn't sure if it would work. I need to find my sample of cider, I don't think I ever tried it.

I love your eye makeup with those colours! And wow do you have gorgeous lashes
Funny, I was expecting Shrieking Violet to be a lot "louder" than what it appears to be on your lips. Did you apply a very sheer layer or blot it or something? But it looks good all in all on you!

Yeah, I feel the same way. I could actually see myself wearing it if it looks like that on me. I love your expression in the photos, lol.

It goes on pretty bright, but it mellows out in about 5 minutes. It's still bright- just not as in-your-face-bright-purple as i thought it might be. Very summery

This was an attempt to see if fleur was "wearable" for me. It doesn't look horrible, but i think my eyes look really tired (and i might very well be really tired, but some eyeshadows make me look more awake- this is not one of them). Lips are shrieking violet

The trick to wearing an eyeshadow colour that doesn't flatter your skin (for me, reddish plums and colder blues and straight greens) is to use either a black mascara or as fine a 'tight line' of black eyeliner on the upper lashes as possible. Blue black also works. That gives the optical illusion of contrasting against the whiteness of the eye ball and it helps to make the eye look more alert. It's easy to over-do, though. Then use the awkward colour up towards the line. It sort of gives a neutral contrast - i.e. purple showing up against a black, so as you look at it, you somewhat perceive the colour in it's own right and not washed out by an incompatible skin tone. It also helps to be under 30 to pull this off other wise you just have to go bold and confident and forget flattering!

This works for me, I usually use a very fine line of film noir and lashings of black mascara, and also I keep the less flattering colour away from the inner half of my eye (I tend to do crease or outer v) and balance it with a colour I can wear easily.
Sam, what about something like bare all over the lid with fleur in the crease and outer v, black mascara, and either line with black or a golden brown? That might work a little better for you (not that I think you look bad in the above look!!!)
