17. Are you married? What's your favorite thing about your spouse? Yes for 16 years. He is very confident, kind and dependable.
18. Do you have any kids/pets? No children. Three adorable Scottish terriers.

20. What's the strangest job you ever had? Administrator at a private psychiatric hospital. The strange part was not the patients - the management team I worked with were quite bizarre.

2. Where is that exactly? - Well, if you have a globe, try finding the North Pole. Then mainland Europe. Somewhere in between there, right before the polar bear territory.
3. Tell us about that state/area! Time to brag! - I live in a green valley in the summer, a blazing heaven of colour during autumn, a winter wonderland around Christmas and a meadow of spring flowers as the snow gives way. Close to nature.
4. What decade were you born? - 80's.
5. Tell us about a (perhaps completely useless) MAD skill you have! - Typing hard. There's no one that can make a keyboard sound like a machine gun except me amongst the people I know.
6. How many languages do you speak? What are they? - Two, essentially. Swedish and English. I understand a good deal of Norwegian and Danish too, and some German. And if you take it slowly, some French since I studied the language for six years.
7. Do you like to travel? Where have you been? - Yes. And no. I like being at home, but like experiencing new things. I've never been outside of Europe.
8. Do you eat breakfast? What do you usually have? - No. But at times, I may have fruit, porridge or cake. Usually, though, I make do with a glass of milk.
9. What are your pet peeves? - People listening to music so loud in the bus that you can hear the lyrics.
10. What are your hobbies? - Reading, playing with make-up, organising (yeah, strange hobby to have, but I am addicted, not the same as being a neat and clean person however), singing and...well, a little bit of everything, really.

11. What got you into mineral makeup in the first place? - Meeting my boyfriend, and wanting to look my absolute best but not wanting something that made my skin worse.
12. What do you do for a living? - At the moment, I'm a student. So I guess, I think, read and write for a living.
13. How do you personally apply mineral foundation? - Depends on the foundation, either with a super full kabuki or flattop.
14. What are your favourite eye shadow colors? - Since I have but two colours from SN I will give a general answer. I tend to gravitate towards light champagne colours, bronzes, browns and greys. Neutrals, but shimmery ones I guess are my absolute favourites.
15. What are your favourite lip colors? - I don't own any SN colours, but colourwise I love my EDM Bamboo and my Pink Ginger from Bodyshop. Both are kind of neutral, without being neutral, if that makes sense?
16. Are you bad at anything (you can totally say no....everyone knows most SN girls are perfect in every way)? - At getting things done. I procrastinate, until it is almost too late and sometimes until it is too late.
17. Are you married? What's your favorite thing about your spouse? - No. But I have the most wonderful boyfriend.
18. Do you have any kids/pets? - No kids yet. But two cats and a turtle.
19. How many makeup brushes are you using personally? - Hm...though question. Foundation brushes, blush, primer, finishing, concealer, eye brushes...I think around 10-15 brushes, depending on how complicated my eye shadow application.
20. What's the strangest job you ever had? - I have had none so far.

5. Tell us about a (perhaps completely useless) MAD skill you have! I have sort of low level ESP. I dream about stuff and it ends up happening too often to just be coinsidence
6. How many languages do you speak? What are they? English, amd I can speak and understand enough Spanish to navigate in Mexico.
7. Do you like to travel? Where have you been? For somebody that doesn't really love to travel...I've been a lot of places. The 76 Montreal Olympics, the Mexican Riviera, New York, Las Vegas, Texas,
8. Do you eat breakfast? what do you usually eat? Is Starbucks breakfast?????
9. What are your pet peeves? I have so many.....let's see....I think getting my hands all dirty and sticky and gunky. It just grosses me out. When I eat a sandwitch, I use at least 5 napkins.
10. What are your hobbies? Reading, shopping,crafts, cooking,. I used to bowl.

11. What got you into mineral makeup in the first place? I've never worn regular foundation. I used to use just concealer and face powder, so this was a logical jump for me
12. What do you do for a living? Currently I am a SAHM( stay at home mom)
13. How do you personally apply mineral foundation? from a swirly bowl with my humongous UD Big Buddah Brush.
14. What are your favourite eye shadow colors? Medium toned neutrals with an edge. Love Burnished, Groove, Quiver, Enigma.
15. What are your favourite lip colors?..I like a tan/bronze shimmer. I haven't quite found my HG in lippies yet.

17. Are you married? What's your favorite thing about your spouse? Yes, married 12 years, together for 15. He is THE BEST...always makes me feel special and beautiful.

1. Where are you from? Well, I was born in the mid-west, but have lived in northern CA since I was seven years old. I have lived Marin County for over nine years.
2. Where is that exactly? The San Francisco Bay Area; Marin County is to the north of San Francisco.
3. Tell us about that state/area! Time to brag! It is California! Beautiful weather, generally. I am just a quick drive from Napa or San Francisco (I lived in San Francisco for about eight years after I graduated from college). I love it here and I can't imagine ever moving away. (I just wish it wasn't quite so expensive.)
4. What decade were you born? Early 1960's.
5. Tell us about a (perhaps completely useless) MAD skill you have! I can tap dance!
6. How many languages do you speak? What are they? English, and a smattering of French. (I took two years of Latin in high school, and then two years of French, followed by three years of French in college...but haven't really kept up with it, so my skills are very rusty.)
7. Do you like to travel? Where have you been? I do like to travel, but it isn't in the budget much any more. My favorite "vacation" is to go to Disneyland. If cost was not an issue, I would go to Disneyland at least yearly, if not more frequently. Our last family vacation was to Maine summer before last. Other places we have traveled include Maine, a road trip to Iowa and Minnesota and then back to California via the northern route through South Dakota, Montana and Washington. I went to Europe when I was in high school and would love to go back some day.
8. Do you eat breakfast? What do you usually have? I try to eat breakfast; I always feel a bit more in control of my eating for the day if I eat a healthy breakfast like wheat toast and peanut butter, or shredded wheat cereal, or oatmeal. But I also really enjoy "bad for you" breakfasts of donuts, or eggs and bacon. No matter what I am eating, coffee is a must!
9. What are your pet peeves? Oh gosh, so many to choose from...but I would have to say people who don't actually read the email messages I send them, and then ask me questions that I already answered, are very high on the list! I also hate people who leave voicemail messages just saying "call me back, I have a question." Um, leave the question and then I can leave the answer if I get your voicemail when I call back. Augh!
10. What are your hobbies? Reading; scrapbooking (though I haven't actually worked on my albums in ages...I must get back to them one of these days); hanging out in various forums on the internet!

11. What got you into mineral makeup in the first place? About six years ago I wandered into a BE boutique and discovered mineral makeup. I had spent the previous 25+ makeup wearing years of my life trying pretty much every foundation designed for oily skin, and could never stick with one for more than six months before I would be off trying to find something better. Mineral makeup was a revelation; I never felt the desire to try something different, until just over a year ago when I was looking at pictures of myself taken at a big event and I realized I looked "shiny" despite having just touched up my makeup with mineral veil. I recalled someone on another message board complaining that BE was too shiny for her, and she recommended EDM, so I checked it out. I loved it even more than BE. I recently followed some other EDM ladies here to SN and I have now tried this line, and I am totally sold on it. I love being able to really customize my shade, and I like the way the product feels and looks on my skin.
12. What do you do for a living? I work for a small association management company. We provide management services to professional membership associations who don't have their own staff. I do everything from bookkeeping to event planning to database management to member communications.
13. How do you personally apply mineral foundation? With a fluffy brush; I have no idea exactly what kind it is; I found it at the drug store and I love it.
14. What are your favourite eye shadow colors? Right now? Vanilla and Brown Sugar.
15. What are your favourite lip colors? I love rosy-pinkish-nudish shades; though I am really enjoying Hot Blooded this week.

I am really bad at being able to just throw together a meal from whatever I find in the fridge. If I don't have a specific recipe to follow, I get nervous and have a hard time figuring out what to make for dinner. (Thankfully, my husband is a great cook.)
17. Are you married? What's your favorite thing about your spouse? Yes; my husband and I have been married for 21 years as of this past August (together for almost 25, known each other for about 30). He is an awesome husband and father, and he just takes such good care of us. (See previous question!)
18. Do you have any kids/pets? Two sons; one 13 years old and one almost 7 and 1/2 years old. We also have two kitties; a pair of sisters who have been with us for four years.
19. How many makeup brushes are you using personally? If I am not wearing eye shadow, then I think I am currently using three or four brushes; with eye shadow, add two brushes, sometimes three.
20. What's the strangest job you ever had? I really haven't had any strange jobs that I can recall.

20. What's the strangest job you ever had? Counting cars on the side of GW Parkway near Reagan National Airport!LOL! (It wasn't called that then, it was just National Airport) I was a teenager and was working through a temp office. I wanted the odd jobs, not the sit at a desk type job... It was some sort of traffic control project.

1. Where are you from? Originally, Indiana. I've also lived in Northern California (Burlingame, outside of San Francisco), Tennessee (Germantown, outside of Memphis) and currently I'm in Tampa, Florida.
2. Where is that exactly? Tampa is in Central Florida. Most of the time, hurricanes go north of us into the pan handle or south of us to hit Miami and the Keys.
3. Tell us about that state/area! Time to brag! Well, where I'm at specifically is about a half hour to an hour from some of the most beautiful beaches in Florida. I'm about an hour from Disney in Orlando. There are some fun clubs in the area. I absolutely love the weather here in FL. It's warm and it rains a fair amount of the time. I love the rain, but hate the cold.

7. Do you like to travel? Where have you been? I do enjoy traveling. I've been to a good chunk of the states in the continental USA, as well as Hawaii. I've been to La Manga and Barcelona in Spain. I've been to Paris, France.

8. Do you eat breakfast? What do you usually have? I do eat breakfast. At least 5 days a week I eat Raisin Date and Walnut oatmeal, because I love it.
9. What are your pet peeves? I dislike rude people, people who don't use turn signals, people who think that their children are angels and would never lie to them, etc.
10. What are your hobbies? Playing with makeup, reading books, writing, dancing, playing video games, playing with my dog.

11. What got you into mineral makeup in the first place? I got into mineral makeup when I finally (sadly) realized that no matter how much I wished for MAC's Moisturefix foundation in NW15 to match, it was still too dark for me. I then went about trying mineral makeup to see if I could find a foundation to match my skintone. I tend to be the lightest shade in the mineral makeup foundations that I wear. I have an annoying mix of undertones: some cream, some peach, some beige and a bit of yellow, with a bit of a pink overtone. If a foundation is too yellow it looks wrong, same with too pink or too beige.

12. What do you do for a living? I work in video game development. Right now I'm the Head of Player Support, but I'm getting a promotion into Project Management. I work directly for the CEO.

13. How do you personally apply mineral foundation? I use my ecoTools retractable kabuki brush.

18. Do you have any kids/pets? I have a standard poodle (the big size) named Phaedra, and she's a big part of my life. She comes to work with me several times a week, cuddles with me, plays with makeup with me. She just loves to spend time with me and I love her dearly.

20. What's the strangest job you ever had? I'm not even sure. Most of my jobs have been technical, maybe teaching high school marching band?

I finally figured out after years, and I mean YEARS, that I always turn soda flat because of whatever lip gloss or lip product I'm wearing. My husband has always teased me that my useless super power is the turning soda flat.

2. Where is that exactly? Really far away, lol! Kind of near Australia.
3. Tell us about that state/area! Time to brag! NZ prides itself on its clean, green image. It is very sparsely populated compared to lots of places, and has gorgeous bush, birds, beaches etc. We also make amazing sauvignon blanc
4. What decade were you born? early 80s
5. Tell us about a (perhaps completely useless) MAD skill you have! I can roll my tongue into three rolls, kind of like a flower. I can also put my feet behind my head (not that I practice it, I just have weird flexible joints, lol)
6. How many languages do you speak? What are they? English. At university I studied Latin, German, Old English (completely different from modern English, kind of similar to German) but I don't really remember much at all of any of them now.
7. Do you like to travel? Where have you been? In theory yes. I had my first daughter at 22, when I was in the middle of my honours at University, which cut short my travel plans. I have been to London, Australia, Rarotonga, and around NZ.
8. Do you eat breakfast? What do you usually have? I have to have breakfast! I usually have muesli and milk followed by a ham and cheese omelette.
9. What are your pet peeves? Poor grammar and punctuation.
10. What are your hobbies? At the moment, breeding chickens, and mineral makeup, lol! I get 'obsessions, and like the scientist I am I research everything madly. My obsessions vary but makeup and chickens have been up there for a while! I am also into living sustainably, and turning my little suburban section into a gorgeous organic mini-farm (although my dh does most of the actual work!)
11. What got you into mineral makeup in the first place? Everyday Minerals was recommended to me on acne.org, since then I have branched out, and get stuff from lots of places, but Silk Naturals is definitely my favorite these days
12. What do you do for a living? I am a research Chemist by training, at the moment I am staying home with my two daughters, which is just the most amazing job I have ever had

14. What are your favourite eye shadow colors? Purples and greens are my biggest weakness, but I am an eyeshadow whore, I have everything from bright peachy orange to super intense turquoise and I wear them all.
15. What are your favourite lip colors? At the moment anything in a purplish brown, sounds weird, but works Generally though I go for dark berries, YLBB, and purplish browny colours.

17. Are you married? What's your favorite thing about your spouse? Yep. Well, he has spent probably 60 hours over the last few months organising the children's christmas party for his workplace, to make over 120 kids today blissfully happy. He is that sort of guy
18. Do you have any kids/pets? 2 daughters, nearly 6 and 2, 1 cat, 7, 7 pullets (5 months) 3 bantam pullets (3 months), 3 chicks (3 weeks) and one little chick who hatched today.
19. How many makeup brushes are you using personally? At a minimum, 7 per day, but I have about 20 that I would use.
20. What's the strangest job you ever had? Counting people through the doors in a mueseum. I literally sat next to the door with a counter for entire days, clicking the button when someone walked through and totally it every hour. It was soooo boring but actually pretty well paid (I was 17).
