Hahah, Jen. I'm jealous you have someone to go with though. I'll probably have to go see it myself. My husband and I never go to the movies, because we turned our bonus room over the garage into a home theater. I make an exception though, for movies like Twilight and the HP movies because I'm such a big fan. My husband doesn't though, lol.

And since we just moved here in July of 2008, and I just started grad school in August of 2009, I haven't exactly made a ton of friends here just yet. The friends I have made are just not Twilight obsessed like I am.
I'm going to visit my family over Thanksgiving, but my sisters are such die hard fans that they wouldn't promise to not go see it without me!

I guess that means I'll be lame and go to the movies by myself. I did it for HP 6, so I can do it again, I suppose!

EtherealJane,
I would totally do the same in your spot and just go on my own. I have my knitting group and the neighborhood Moms (and we want to go without our kids so we can whoop it up), and maybe my sis at Christmas. I thougt I was going to get to see it with my 12 yo DD, but she will see it before me at a birthday party. Lucky her!
I know my knitting group is already making plans for HP7A....they are knitting Quiddich Sweaters before and going at midnight.

Good for you! I hope you have fun when you go. Going by myself definitely won't stop me from going.
I didn't know that you were a knitter, but I shouldn't be surprised given how creative and crafty you are. I love to knit, and was thinking about trying to make a HP scarf, like the ones they wore in the first movie or two. I'm not a sweater knitter yet, lol.

First, I need to get my scarves even on the sides!

I'm lucky I'm going with my younger sister who (usually) likes what I like, in fact you might say I've corrupted her

. It's a good thing cause none of my friends wanted to go to see it either - weirdo's
I plan to see it at least every two weeks and be more enthralled each time - teehee
I'm starting to read eclipse again which in case you guys don't know is being filmed as we speak and should be released around June 2010

My girls and I plan to wait until it's been out for a week. Then, we will load up on sangria and pasta at the local OG and see a matinee.
My friend Amanda and I will probably do special makeup for it too... we're weird like that!

Aww, you ladies and your plans make me jealous! But now I think I have a plan

My husband has to work that weekend, so I will try to go to the Saturday matinee showing, I think. But, I am going to dress up a bit for the occasion, and perhaps as
zeebs mentioned, do some themed makeup or something for the movie. I'm hopeful that that way I may end up meeting my new twilight and makeup obsessed best friend.

It's worth a shot, right?

hehehe I have all the twilight powders from AL- the one that makes you sparkle like a vampire. I have my reservations about the quality of Twilight, but I enjoy the storyline and the movies just the same. The more previews I see the more team Jacob I go though- Taylor Lautner is very good looking. lol
