I live in the Southwest, so many of our dishes have a Mexican influence. I can always manage to do taco's , burrito's and enchilada's with either beef or chicken, come to think of it turkey taco's are pretty good also. In addition, just plain grilled hamburger's or cheeseburger's will do, along with corn on the cob and ice cold watermelon. Of course, since Rocky Ford is world famous for it's melon's and it is jujst 12 miles away , it is pretty easy for me to get good melon up until freeze, so it makes up much of my diet this time of year.

Yum...& since here in NY, nights are getting nippy...a nice pot of chili cooked over a fire sounds wonderful with the cornbread that Rhys volunteered to bring, hehe. Toasting marshmellows afterward sounds just the ticket, eh?

I vote...we ALL go to the cabin on the lake and bring American food. lol. I'm so hungry...

(i really hate to cook, i'm good at it, i just don't like doing it. i'm a muncher- i just eat all day long)

eta:i am currently munching on amish macaroni salad- another summer staple
