I am supposed to make you blush. Blush is our business!!! :D

No, actually, I really find your posts very helpful and you make my job easier. I have seen you on other boards, too. And you are helpful regardless of the company or makeup issue. It is refreshing.

This is something I just mentioned on another thread but is food for thought. I've found (belatedly, sigh) that I've missed posts due to my own lack of paying attention  & *not realizing* that newest posts do not ALWAYS float to the top. Thinking that Jen's Color Swatches & the Foundation Recipes should perhaps be separate topic headings? What do you think?

Mikie,
On the Board Index page, there is a small heading that says "View New Posts". If you click on that it will automatically take you to a list of the posts you have not seen. This is how I keep track of what I have seen, and what I have not. We needed to sticky the swatch and recipe threads so they are easy to find for those headings.

I understand that, Jen. I just rarely use that "review new posts" type option,LOL!

I just thought that those posts/headers/whatever they're called, that are "stickied" would be even easier to see as topics of their own, that's all.

New visitors to the forum would see them instantly, kwim?

Yes. I definitely see your point. That will be a request that only our Forum Administrator can handle.

What I figure is that really the 1st things people want to know/see is Why Silk Naturals & How to Choose/Recipes & the swatches just REALLY beg for the limelight for reference & enabling purposes! They are SUPER-helpful & they encourage mental notes to GO CHECK OUT A COLOR,LOL!

I completely agree! I think a new header is in order. My head is spinning at the moment- we went to Sak's and Bendel's today. I'm wearing a $55.00 lipstick by La Prairie- it has caviar extract in it. I want to see if 10x the price means 10x the quality- so far, not really.

Good heavens, Karen, I hope you can write the lipstick off as business expenses!!! Caviar as an ingredient would NOT make me want to try it out! I prefer my fish grilled. Have you considered visiting the Holocaust Museum? My Jewish friends went there and said it changed their lives. The wife is an artist, and she was inspired to do many new works as a result of that visit. It is NOT for the faint-of-heart, however. It's wonderful that you were able to sneak out for a couple more days with MIL.

I agree that keeping swatches where they are easy to find in the forum is a great idea, but why not must make them a part of the website connected to each type of product (blushes, es, lippies, etc)? When I was a newbie, I found the forum a little intimidating. All those people talking about bases and colors and shades and tones, like they did it every day! Felt like a total nincompoop (sp?) Now that I am one of them (albeit a neophyte), the forum is the first place I look for ideas. It took me six months, though. If you were to continue with keeping the swatches as a forum topic, what about splitting off topics for people of different complexion, so the fair ladies would browse through "fair" suggestions, etc. Lauren
