Guess what!! My acupuncturist fixed my chapped lips! I told her about them at my treatment and also that I'd been feeling dehydrated no matter how much water I drank... and she fixed me. The day after my treatment, they were 90 percent better, and now they're healed!

accupuncturists can fix anything- i've never been to one but the stories i've heard. I have a friend who goes to one for her migraines, and once she went in with a broken toe and they made the swelling go down and the pain much less, she was ecstatic

That's amazing! I've never had acupuncture but I know people who absolutely swear by it. Just for anyone else with chapped lips - Carmex works wonders (the original not the cherry one, that's rubbish), I usually mix up my lip balms through the day go from the Carmex to SN to Burt's Bees and find I have to apply them less when I mix them up a bit

I used to have the same problem.
I'd apply lip balm,( lypsl, now a convert to carmex), throughout the day and it still never cured my dry lips.
I then started drinking 1 1/2 ltrs of water a day and after 2 or so days my lips plumped up and I stopped needing lip balm I drink lots of water but if I've indulged in a few glasses of wine during the weekend I'd go back to needing lip balm! So I guess it's (for me anyhow) purely a fluid intake. Give it a try, you might be pleasently surprised. :geek:
