Olive.....on me?

Blonde, green-eyed, extremely fair....but after struggling and tweaking, and coming up with some formulations I couldn't remember if I tried, I think I finally found something that's not going to turn too pink, too orange, and has too much yellow in it.

I am actually not all that surprised. Olive is a great color!

Have you been told in the past you were a cool? I know you like to wear cool color products.

Well, to be honest- I can wear both cool and warm. My favorite color combination is wearing Sprite and Grassroots Green on the eyes and Jamie or Cocoaberry on the cheeks. If you have any suggestions as to which of the new blush shades would replace either both of those, I'd be grateful, because the swatches can be a bit misleading. I also prefer more neutral lip colors...like Rhapsody and my favorite is Iced Mocha. Breathless is too pink and I have to be in the right mood for Sugar Plum. If I'm doing a "pink" blush, to coordinate with cooler eye colors, like Elle, it's almost always Flirt. I don't like to wear anything like Tart or Babydoll, it's just too pink for my taste.

I could probably not wear anything like Mirabelle, and the swatches of Galaxy and Gemini on the site look like "too much". I'm very fair, I'm mixing approximately 1 scoop Olive: 8 scoops Medium and 8 scoops Glow.

I think you will love Maybe Baby. Have you ever tried Climax? It was my first blush love here.

I am similar in color depth to you and Olive even though my features are very different. I can wear both cool and warm colors, too. My go to blushes are Embrace and Satisfied. I do use a duo fiber brush. I completely agree on that there are a few lippies that are just too pink for me, and Breathless is one of them. However, some end up surprising me. I like the look of Very Berry on me and it is very pink rather than nude pink.

Oh, I use a full-size Climax and like it very much. Nars' Orgasm was always a favorite of mine, though I'm thrilled not to pay the premium for the look. I may try Satisfied and Maybe Baby as well. I don't like to complain, but the other colors are just favorites of mine, particularly Jamie, because it was the perfect neutral blush for me.

I have to ask- I purchased SN in the way of gifts for a friend- because I love enabling. One of the colors I purchased was Vintage. Just how dark is that? I purchased it for my friend because she has darker skin than I do and it looked right up her alley. I love the liquid lip gloss formula and packaging, and I was just curious.

But yes, I liked the way Olive looked on my skin.....I tried it with just perfecting powder...because I didn't want something like Splendid or Tempt Tryst to interfere with the coloring when I looked at the foundation later on in the day after application. It seemed to have everything I need, tone-wise.....not too much yellow, not too much pink, and yet it has that touch of green involved...and that helps conceal rosacea.

Sometimes I wish I could wear the bluer eyeshadows, too. I usually have to wear something like Poly or Indian Summer- because it has some green in it, but I think the Blue quad looks gorgeous in the pictures.

We can always hope Jamie and Cocoberry will make another appearance. Satisfied is a more intense version of Climax. Even though I am pale right now, I do prefer it to Climax (no tomatoes, please ) as long as I have my dual fiber brush. I also had a summer fling with Poppy last year when I was more tan.

I will admit I shy away from the blues, too. I have not tried many which is totally wrong for what I do; maybe it is a carryover from all the wrong blue shadows in the 80's. Greens used to be a stretch for me but are not so much anymore. It is time to pull out the blues for me. I will try out that quad this week and take pics even if it goes poorly.

But what about Vintage? I'm really curious about it.

There's actually a few lippies I'm curious about, though. Cherry Crush is one of them...the swatch looks really pretty in the picture, but would it make me look like I was bleeding, LOL?

Currently I have the following lippies: Skinny Dip, Birthday Suit, Jaybird, Hot Blooded (but I've not really worn it yet- a bit scared of it), Nectar, Rare Berry (a little bright on me!), Rhapsody (which I love), Iced Mocha (hands-down favorite- perfect fusion of Birthday Suit and Skinny Dip), Carpe Diem (a little bright on me, I think), XOXO, Swept Away, Amour, Sugar Plum, and Bliss (which is a bit on the brown side for me!).

I want some color advice, LOL.

There is a certain amount of sheerness in Cherry Crush that keeps it far from looking like you are injured. It really is a sheer sparkly red on the pinkish side. Its sheerness makes it very wearable without being 'in your face' red.

Vintage is probably my favorite liquid gloss. It is a very complex and pigmented color, kind of along the lines of Iced Mocha but with complex wine tones to it. It is probably one of the darker ones, only slightly darker than Iced Mocha, but I really like it. I am also a fan of most of the ones you love. I prefer Vintage for a dressed up look only because my life is pretty casual.

I do think you would probably like them both since you are a fan of the liquid gloss.

P.S. I am training myself to wear Hot Blooded more. It is a great red, I am just self conscious of red lippies. I have been told it looks great on me.
