I'm been trying foundation samples left and right from so many different MMU companies, and I haven't found THE ONE yet and it's getting pretty frustrating. With Everyday Minerals, Buttered Tan is too light on me, while Olive Medium, which worked better, doesn't have enough yellow in it,and is a bit green on me. Buff'd Moccasin is yellow enough, but I think lacks the olive a bit...Saffron is touch dark on me. I find a close match with Blusche with Mocha Java, but maybe it has a bit of peach or pink? Same with Adorned With Grace's Grace 4.2....pretty close, but a bit too much peach (I'm awaiting samples in Hope 4.2, and 4.5 which is strictly Yellow & Olive undertones). Lauress' Pure Gold is a BIT fair, wearable but casting a slight whitish mask, but adding Fresh Gold seems too dark. Pure Yellow doesn't have the depth but I could pass wearing this one too.
I've attached a rather ugly pic of my just-washed face in the morning. There are touches of pink on my cheeks, but I think that's mainly blood rushing through my face...my neck shows my real skin colouring. Am I considered Buttery Gold or Warm Gold? I do have Yellow undertones, but I'm darker than the average filipino (I think!) so I think I also have a fair bit of olive undertones as well. I"m pretty sure pink or peach don't look like a match on my skin. I"m sorry, but I haven't worn MAC foundation in ages, so I don't know what NC# I am....I"m thinking I'm in the 35-40 range.
What items should I buy to try and get a matching shade? Should I get the sample set? What ratio should I start playing with....I don't know how much the samples will allow for my errors. Sorry for the large pics...I don't mean to scare anyone.
TIA!
