Re: Eye Brows???
I , too , would be thankful for a red eyebrow color that doesnt look crazy and lasts.
Re: Eye Brows???
I never use anything besides a top-of-the-line tweezers to shape and matte eyeshadow to fill in. However, I suspect that the SN shadows won't stay put in my brows as well as the stuff I'm using now... so maybe a specific product would be in order. Is there any way to make a powder-heavy pencil? Something not too hard and also not too creamy? I don't know anything about chemistry or making product but think of like.... a charcoal pencil?
I just use like a medium-brown - usually something with a taupeish tone to it works well for my brows. My brows are the easiest part of my face!

Zeebs, I use Truffle on brows. I do not use a base or wax or setting stuff. I use the brow brush that comes in the set Karen sells & just fill in the sparseness. Then after makeup & when I'm doing my hair, I run my ring fingers along brows since my hands have my hair gel on them, lol. Even without that, the color doesn't budge for me.

Re: Eye Brows???
Okay, I will give it a go with the eyeshadows.
Truffle does look like a good color for brows - it won't be too dark on me, will it? I dance the line between auburn and light mousey brown. I was looking at Terra thinking it was closer to what I currently use - but of course I only have the swatch to go on. Any thoughts for light brown brows?
I am definitely not a brunette but also definitely not a redhead. I often have people say "your hair is strawberry blonde, right? Or is it brown?" Soooo hope somebody knows which color that would be closest to for brows! Thanks!

Zeebs ~ Take a look at Mousse & see what you think. It's a lighter matte brown than Truffle is. Hopefully someone with lighter hair (that's not silver, ROFL!) will chime in.

Re: Eye Brows???
Is Mousse as red IRL as it is in the sample? It looks pretty caramely. Is that just oddish lighting? How red is it?
Sorry to hijack the eyebrow thread. I guess I just proved Karen's point in that it is difficult to find eyebrow shades and it would be nice to have some specifically formulated for that purpose!

Re: Eye Brows???
No, it's not red. I can't wear reddish/pink eyeshadows AT ALL (Gidget is right out for me - tried it, but it makes me look like I have something contagious), but I can wear Mousse just fine. It's brown, maybe a tinge of honey, though it's darker than that and definitely not red!
The swatches are generally a MUCH better indicator of the colour than the round spots - I've seen a couple of exceptions (like Cashmere - which, oddly, I can wear - maybe because it's pinkish without red), but as a rule, if there's a swatch, that's pretty close to the e/s colour.

Re: Eye Brows???
Mousse is relatively neutral- I think Terra would be all wrong for brows. I'm working on them- next week I'm hoping to get some models in the shop so we can make the colors just right.

Re: Eye Brows???
Karen,
The closest thing I have to the right brow shade is:
Mannequin from Lancome's Color Design series
http://www.lancome-usa.com/makeup/eyesh ... #anchor001
I think it is similar to Avon's "Tawny" brow pencil, which I have NOT tried (but I assume Avon does their market research and decided it would be a good brow shade).

I like that Mannequin is brown without being too dark. It is just the right halfway between blonde and brown for me.
I might like just the slightest, most minimal hint of red added to it, though, just enough to soften my look but not enough to actually be auburn.
It is shimmery (not matte) which is kind of a double-edged sword when it comes to brows.

Re: Eye Brows???
Hello. I just wanted to say that I would love to see a transparent brow wax/gel made from natural ingredients in SN store! It could be a jumbo pencil like Givenchy one I have seen but it isn't natural unfortunately or like a mascara tube. Just an idea!
